SCHOLARSHIPS
The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre Foundation awards scholarships to outstanding students participating in the Shuler Hensley Awards. Musical theatre students from participating schools are eligible. The scholarship committee consists of the Awards steering committee, the Foundation’s administrative and education staff, and community arts leaders. The scholarship committee thoroughly reviews all applications and selects the recipients. Scholarship recipients will be announced during the 2012 Awards ceremony.
To qualify for the Shuler Hensley Awards Scholarship Program, students:
- Must have participated in their school’s musical entered in this year’s Shuler Hensley Awards. Applicants are required to attend the awards show.
- Must be a graduating senior.
- Must plan to major in theatre, music, dance, arts administration or theatre/music/dance education in college Please note that one of the scholarship this year is earmarked for students advancing their studies in the field of dance, so please encourage those students, as well as others, to apply.
- Must maintain a “B” average or above in all areas of academic study.
- Must have participated in theatrical activities throughout the majority of their high school career
